ADAPTIVE IMMUNE RESPONSES

T-Cell Signaling

A typical consequence of the signal transduction (signaling) from antigen-recognizing receptor/coreceptor/accessory molecules to cell genes is as follows:
(1) Activation of the tyrosine kinase cascade.
(2) Engagement of the adaptor proteins.
(3) Switching on of primary signaling pathways.
(4) Gene transcription by the aid of transcription factors.
Contents of signaling molecules are unique for each pair of ligand/receptor
